Merry Christmas from Charlie Brown
When I was in grade school, one of my friends showed me how to draw Snoopy; I think I could still pull him off. Between feeling oddly connected to the strip, because I could draw Snoopy and the fact that back in my day, we had fewer choices in our entertainment, and thus looked forward to the Charlie Brown Specials, with a great deal of anticipation, I still hold these characters in esteem.
Here is a post card, purchased at the Charles M. Schultz Museum, featuring an earlier version of his famed and much beloved Charlie Brown – which I now tend to associate Charlie Brown with my brother-in-law, so a little Merry Christmas going your way Doug!
