I continue to be drawn to realism and continue to be surprised; this painting is not something I would typically be attracted by, yet inexplicably I am. It is so crisp and clear, and the subjects are each quite engaged in the music they are creating. I love the prominence of the guitar; the mans white shirt and the placement his hands. I wish I could listen to them.
