Lighthouse and Buildings, Portland Head

I very much appreciate Edward Hopper’s work; thus I have featured so much of it, on these pages. I am actually surprised that I have not shared his rendition of Portland Headlight sooner. Not only do I like this painting; but this lighthouse is on our “Welcome to Maine” tour, for houseguest.
It is an interesting and easily accessible lighthouse, with an amazing view of the sea. I recommend the stop, whether you are accompanied by us or not; however, Hopper’s work truly is the next best thing!
