Art

To love a painting is to feel that this presence is… not an object but a voice.

Faith Atkins appears to be such a grown up little girl; with perhaps a sad or maybe just serious face. The pallet chosen by the artist, also feels as if they should surround a much darker or mature subject, yet it appeals to me – exactly as painted.

The small touches of cobalt around her neck and head, and the greens and yellow make we feel that perhaps it just the moment which is serious, and not the child.

Art can never exist without naked beauty displaced.
