Poet’s Corner

I Miss You

I miss the laughter.

I miss the sound of the children running down the hall

 and jumping into the pool.

I miss the serving dishes being utilized

and the vases filled with flowers.

I miss anticipating your arrival.

I miss adorning the teacart with berries and delicacies,

which I think you will enjoy.

I miss the moment dinner and dessert have been served,

and I am free to enjoy you being here.

I miss the conversations.

I miss making happy memories,

and all of those hugs and kisses.

These are days with so much to be missed,

but mostly I miss seeing you.
