When I think of vistas of Yosemite Valley, I most often think of Ansel Adams’ iconic photographs, as it was Adams who first introduced me to the beauty of such places. However, it was German painter, Albert Bierstadt, who inspired Adams to capture with his camera what Albert Bierstadt had immortalized on canvas.
I love the beauty and power in this painting; as well as the two small deer, on the bottom left hand corner, who allow to us to spend time in their backyard.
